| Anne Blue is Director of Community Affairs at General Atomics
on a part-time basis. She is founder of and responsible for the
General Atomics Education Outreach Program.
Mrs. Blue was also a co-founder of the Education Outreach Program
at the Salk Institute. Their program was started to help celebrate
the Institute's 30th Anniversary, and was so successful that
it still continues today.
The General Atomics Education Outreach Program, started in 1993,
reaches students and teachers throughout San Diego County. In
recent years, some of the science teaching modules developed
in the program have been presented at the California Science
Teachers Conference each fall, and at the San Diego Science Educators
Association conference each winter.
Mrs. Blue was born in Leipzig, Germany. She earned a Masters
Degree in Languages (German, English, Spanish and Russian) from
the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and a Master of International
Affairs from the University of Denver. A mother of four children,
she has coached little league soccer for over 10 years.
