Wendy Woolf

Wendy Woolf graduated in 1978 from UCSD, summa cum laude, with a BA in Biology with an emphasis in genetics. She worked for three years in cytogenetics laboratories at UCSD and the College of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey as a geneticist, and during that time wrote one paper on a chromosome anomaly. After having her three children, Wendy became very involved acting and writing music for a community theater group, The Park Dale Players, began teaching piano, volunteered extensively at Mission Estancia Elementary School in art, music, drama, and science, and in 1994 was hired as a science consultant at Mission Estancia. She was on the Science IIC for Encinitas School District in 1994-1995 and has shared her in the classroom ideas at several science conferences for teachers in San Diego County. She is presently involved with General Atomics, other science teachers in the county, and scientists developing supplementary science curriculum.
